It’s unclear the rancor between the NPP’s Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako and the Electoral Commission Boss, Mrs. Charlotte Osei - but the NPP chairman has always had something to say about the credibility of the commissioner.
Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as ‘Chairman Wontumi’ has for some time now tagged the EC boss as a member of the incumbent NDC.
As if that was not indicting enough, on NEAT FM’s morning show dubbed Ghana Montie, Wontumi categorically stated that the EC boss is acting like a “criminal” with her recent acts of omission and commission.
He noted that the EC is full of fraudulent activities which is aimed to help the ruling NDC win the November 7, elections.
“The EC boss is acting like a criminal. Charlotte Osei [Mrs.] is acting like a criminal” he alleged.
He explained that majority of the EC’s new guidelines favours the NDC – a condition he described as ‘bogus’.
The EC boss has also come under heavy criticisms for her attempt to change the commission logo – this has also been condemned by Chairman Wontumi.
He alleged that – “The EC is plotting a civil war in the country but we won’t let that happen. Mrs. Charlotte Osei operatives will bring civil war to this country”
