MAHAMA BEGS FOR VOTES IN NEW AD VIDEO

In a new social media advert which seeks to get people to go and register when the Electoral Commission opens the voters register, President Mahama appears in the last scene calling on a group of young men and women to vote to keep him in power.

This means active campaign for the November election has began and social media will play a huge part of it.

This ad was preceded by “Meet JM” which gives two young people to meet the president to talk about their expectation of him and join him in his activities.

"You are the reason I’m here. You have always inspired me, and you continue to do so.
I have always taken into consideration your feedback, whether positive or not, because what unites us is far more important than what might divide us." is the message people read before accessing the "Meet JM" app.

A close monitoring of the President sociial media usage show he is making maximum use of his pages particularly on facebook  to reach young voters in particular.

In the new add young people are seen talking about the upcoming limited voter registration exercise. While some show interest in the exercise others seem not to care.

President Mahama then appears and convinces them that taking part in the exercise and voting subsequently give them the chance to choose who leads the country.

This initially looks like the president is calling on all to be part of this civic duty until he says “let us continue working for you."

The President  looks like he is not going to leave anything to chance even if it means participating in his own adverts to ask for votes.
