ASEM TO BRING BACK HIPHOP WITH ‘YO-YO’ TRACK? SARKODIE TRYING, EL DID WELL!

In recent times, the Ghanaian youth have really displayed interest in dance-hall, overshadowing many genres in Ghana, including hip-hop which used to be dominant among the youth.
Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have managed to blind Ghanaians with many hot tunes, while hip-hop seemed to be lacking. Well EL did well with his dope BAR II mixtape, putting some life into the genre, but dance-hall still ruled. We must say Sarkodie drifting into high-life for some time, with his Mary album, was one of the causes of the decline when it comes to hip-hop in Ghana, but has been trying to gain feet recently, with Take It Back, which he recently dropped. Paedae now known as Omar Sterling is also doing well with the few single tunes he’s been dropping lately, with Nineteen Ninety, which was a hit.
Asem will be releasing a new track soon. Hinting it’s a hip-hop track with a hashtag, he shared the artwork pictured above for ‘Yo-yo’.
Do you see hip-hop rising again in Ghana? We await ‘Yo-yo’!
