Two employees of the Electricity Company of Ghana have been arrested for attempting to steal gadgets belonging to the company.
The two, Kelvin Mawusi, a store keeper and Gregory Henyo, an electrical technician at the Accra West region of the ECG, Avenor were nabbed after another colleague caught them leaving the office premises with the stolen items worth GHC6,500.
They have been charged with stealing and conspiracy to commit crime but are currently on a GHC20,000 bail with two sureties.
Speaking to Starr News, head of prosecution at the state power distributor Assibi Abariga said the company is on an internal drive to rid itself of criminals.
